Today we have been finishing off our space unit and spending some time learning about the sun.
We have watched several youtube videos and have learned a lot of interesting facts about the sun.
We then
made our own suns using lots of fine motor skills.
We had to twist pipe cleaners on to paper plates to make the suns rays.
Then we threaded straws on to the pipe cleaner.
After that we scrunched paper and carefully glued sparkles on.
Our suns look amazing. Please come in and see them hanging in our classroom.
After morning tea we talked about how the earth orbits the sun and the moon orbits the earth.
We had to get into groups of three and act this out.

Later on we made models about how the sun, earth and moon orbit.
